I use this web site to keep up with the moon and it's current position. www.throughnightsfire.com/astrocalendar.html I think she had different links so you can view this same info from different parts of the world. She is very trustworthy to me. I don't know her personally but I have been using her calander for a few years now and I have purchased many items from her and I have been very happy with everything!

I went to a store to buy a farmer's almanac and when I looked in it I got so pissed off. At least half of the book was advertisements. I would spend about $5 on a book and spend a good hour or so taking an x-acto knife to it. lol

Mine has a lot of advertisements too. But most of them are at least relevent to the book. I don't think mine was five bucks either. I'm pretty sure it was like 3.

I buy a specific moon calendar every year to see the sign the moon is in and keep track of the days. Also I buy an almanac because of the articles. I believe you can substitute some of the things written in the book. Like if you work better with another candle colour, then use that instead. I definitely think an almanac is useful, but only if it suits your practice

I just wanted to share the link. www.maavald.ee/eng/uudised.html?rubriik=50&id=293&op=luguOn the top of the page is the calendar I'll be using. Each month they put up the current month, plus at the beginning of the month, it comes fully explained in local newspaper, where you get the information on what is good to be planted when and what signs play in each moon. I'll be getting the next year's calendar soon, too. I love it. It's local (as local as historically proven calendar system can get) and it is small. It's possible to carry it around and it has no extras, no ads.
