Ah I love this question as right now divination is a main focus of my practice, maybe the urge to divine is because of Samhain/witch's new year coming up? lol No better time to look to the future than the start of a new year I suppose. xD I love using my runes I made from collected rocks [it is the 8 witch's runes], also I am loving scrying with my black mirror lately [though for me this takes time/patience to see much of ANYTHING in it], and also tea leaf readings are a fave of mine mainly doing it for friends when they are over. It's always encouraging when a friend gains something from a reading I give, it kind of boosts my belief in my own intuition. Oh and lastly my favourite tarot deck is The Mythic Tarot by Juliet Shaman-Burke. I have had that deck for nine years now, way before I even started studying witchcraft/paganism/wicca. I've tried using other decks but that one is the one that works the best for me it also holds a special place in my heart because my dad bought it for me. x)

I'm definitely a Tarot girl, I have a crazy amount of decks but mostly I stick to the Mystic Faerie Tarot, they have such an amazing energy! I do work with crystals as well but feel more at home with the cards. Indigo, if you do wish to cleanse your cards after each use you can simply knock on the deck 3 times. I used to work as a tarot reader and found this the quickest and most effective technique when doing multiple readings in a day

I'm pretty good with Runes and love them, I do have a Tarot and Oracle of Gems deck but I don't conect with them as much as my Runes. Oh and with the pendulum... well... I do have problems because my energy gets in the middle of all and the pendulum kind of "lies" because of that

Well i am a TOTAL tarot and oracle card girl. I've got quite a few oracle decks and starting to get a few more in my tarot collection. My favourite decks so far would be the Tarot of the Sidhe (it's quite new), the druidcraft tarot and ooo the tarot of Vampyres... Psychic tarot is great too. My favourite oracle decks are both the Froud Faerie decks and my new Hidden and Well Worn Path decks.
Oo I love talking cards!

I have a Rider Waite deck my mother gifted me with when I was a child, and that's what I've worked with since. She gave me a book to study with it, but I never found use for it. I connected more with just the illustrations, and when I give readings words just sort of tumble out. I also just purchased a pendulum, but I'm still not sure how I like it because as I use it the energies tickle my palm as it swings. It gets a bit itchy. I find that the tools are sort of secondary to divination though, like a visual aid to an oral report. If I get into the mind set of reading for someone, the info will come if its supposed to. Funny thing though, I have so much trouble reading for myself. I always get too cautious, fearing my own self interest is just warping the information.

I currently only do tarot, but hope to try out others very soon!
My deck I use is the Paulina tarot, very whimsical artwork. I actually started using the rider-waite deck years ago to tap into my subconscious thinking and solve personal issues for myself. I always tell people that even if they don't believe in divination, tarot is very helpful for your life. Now I'm moving into more of a spiritual mindset with the cards these days.
I think the next divination forms I want to try next is runes and scrying.

I agree with that, Tarot can be more of a tapping into the subconscious. I like to look at it that way, because its easier for me to wrap my mind around.

Mostly I read tarot. I have an Intuitive Tarot Deck that I got for five dollars. When I saw it I knew it was for me. I had a Froud deck before that but I could never connect with it so I cleansed it and gifted it to my student. I'm scarily accurate with my intuitive tarot deck though. I've been reading with the same deck for a year or so. I'm really wanting a Rider-Waite deck. I am also an empath, intuitive, and I have alot of precognition. I'm working on honing my clairsentinance, clairvoyance, and clairaudience. The clairaudience is the hardest for me to use though because I was diagnosed schizo-affective and I'm afraid sometimes that the voices are just me. It's strange. I asked my mentor and she said it was my abilities coming in too fast and I didn't have time to adjust so I freaked out. She said it happens to the best of us sometimes. lol Sorry if I got off topic. Any questions just message me.

Okay, so I don't want to get off topic here too much, but I have to ask this to you, Windy.
When I was a little girl (like very little, probably from ages 3 to 5), I used to hear these two voices talking. It only happened when it was very quiet and generally only happened when I was at my grandparent's house (actually my brother's grandparents, because we have different fathers). One voice would talk really fast and one would talk really slow and I could never make out what they were saying or if it was, in fact, two voices, or just the same voice over-lapping. It is extremely difficult for me to describe. Then it stopped for a while and didn't happen again until I was about 10 or 11.
I was playing house (yes, I still played house when I was 11, lol) by myself in a quiet room pretending that I was in my office typing on my typewriter. All of a sudden, I stopped what I was doing and sat silently because I started hearing those same voices again. I tried to pay really close attention to them so I could figure out how to describe it. Eventually, it was too much for me to handle and I left the room and went somewhere that I could hear other noises, like the tv or something.
Then the last time it happened, I was about 13 and I was in my Social Studies class taking a test. It was extremely distracting and I never knew what it was.
At the time, I had been diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder/Situational Anxiety/Separation Anxiety so I was seeing a psychiatrist. On the way home from the doctor's one evening (I think I went there because I also had anger problems and my mom was trying to get me to work through my anger). Anyway, that was a long sentence so I'll begin again: We were driving home and I told my mom that sometimes I heard these voices in my head. (But more they were in between my head and my ears, and they would talk to each other.) My mom was working as a nurse at a psych hospital at the time and this freaked her out. Generally, schizophrenia doesn't set in until the very late teens or early twenties so it would have been uncharacteristic, but when we got home, she called my doctor and explained what I'd told her. He didn't worry too much about it and I haven't heard them since.
But I'm wondering if that was something similar to what you experience through clairaudience. It was like these two voices...I think man voices, but perhaps one male and one female, and they were just talking back and forth and they never seemed to be saying actual words. It's super hard to describe.
Point being: I haven't heard them since I was 13, I was never diagnosed with anything more than a shitload of different anxieties, and they only were audible when I was in a quiet place. Sometimes I still try to recreate the environment to see if I'll hear them again because maybe now I'm older, I could understand more, but it never works.

Charlie, that happened to me when I was pre-teen. One night I woke up from a sleep hearing voices and thought that maybe my Dad was still up watching tv. So I went down stairs to turn the tv off but it wasn't on and my Dad was in bed. This was happening off and on still thinking the tv was on down stairs, it was not after checking it each time. At first I didn't think anything of it. But no matter what house I lived in, I could hear these voices. I could never make out what they were saying and it always happened at night for me. I still to this day hear these voices off and on at night. I found out that it's called psychic chatter. When you hear spirits talking around you. I have always been sensitive to spirits in any house I have lived in.. You are not a lone, I think it has happen to a lot of people.

Nathan has to sleep with a fan on specifically so that he doesn't hear things like that. Thank goodness there's a name for it and I'm not the only one it happens to!! lol

I love tarot - they seem to work the best with me, though each deck acts differently. I tend to use Universal Fantasy Tarot by Paolo Martinello and Goddess Tarot by Kris Waldherr, latter being my absolute number one.
I tend to use many others divination forms as well ( I collect them as I mentioned before), pendulum being unfortunately my last choice. For some reason I can ask anything except yes and no questions - then it does exactly as I told it to do. Some of my favorites are also dices, runes (made out of stones collected by the Baltic Sea), scrying in the fire and natural bonds. My family is also very fond of I Ching and the usual casting molten tin in cold water on the last day of the year.
I believe making your own tools when it comes to divination and currently I'm in process of collecting new runes. Which reminds me I was thinking on making few new dices, too.

Charlie I sent you a message explaining my answer to your question. Because of the length of the text, I didn't post it here.
